Wine
- Martha Stouman, Post Flirtation Red 2019$30.00Out of stock
Welcome to the cool kids club. This Cali Zinfandel/Carignan blend is juicy and fresh. Grown at high elevation in the Sierra Foothills by cult winemaker Martha Stoumen.
- Catherine & Pierre Breton, Bourguille 2015$32.00
Cabernet Franc of your dreams from one of our favorite producers in the Loire, Catherine & Pierre Breton. "Trinch" meaning cheers in German is a young vine cuvee that is energetic and structure. Drink it.
- Fossil & Fawn, Do Nothing 2017$25.00Out of stock
Monduse is native to the alpine region of Savoie, France. The crew at Fossil & Fawn like to "get weird" in Oregon with lesser known varietals and a "Do Nothing" approach in the cellar. This reminds us of a cross between a Gamay and a Cab Franc but leaner. Chill it down and drink.
- Iaeptus, Substrata 2017$22.00
From our good pals at Iapetus in Shelburne. Substrata is a serious take on the Louise Swenson grape with distinct characteristics of malolactic fermentation and new oak. This wine is for new world Chardonnay drinkers who still need acidity to balance everything out.
- Domaine Cheveau, Macon Fuissé 2016$36.00
The Macon is known for some flabbier versions of white Burgundy but not here. This 100% Chardonnay is grown in clay and limestone and raised in stainless steel. It's lean and mean but rounded on the edges from extended lees aging.
- Union Sacre, Dry Reisling 2019$18.00Out of stock
Stone fruit juice with zip. You know not all Riesling is sweet? This dry Kabinett style Riesling is made from cool climate fruit in Santa Barbara, CA.
- Monastero Suore Cistercensi, Coenobium 2016$34.00
Made by Cistercian Nuns outside of Rome under the guidance of the famous Bea family of Umbria. This blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia and Verdicchio sees extended aging times on skins resulting in a complex wine with a structure and mouthfeel. For the sour beer and wild cider drinkers in the bunch.
- McMillian + Hinterland Wine Co, L'imparfait Negociant 2017$24.00
Do you miss going to Montreal? Us too. This collaboration between Dave McMillian of the Joe Beef empire and Hinterland Wine Co of Ontario brings it with alpine style wines from Canada. This Chardonnay has some savory and nutty aromatics (think Jura!) but driving acidity that cleans it all up. It's cool stuff.
- Piccolo Podere de Ceppaiolo, Ceppa Bianco 2019$34.00
- Iapetus, Tectonic 2018$24.00
Our pals down in Shelburne allowed our favorite local grape, le Crescent, to macerate on it's skins for 50 days. Five zero! This structured "orange wine" smells like apricot and peach gummy bears and finishes dry with some tannin. Oh wait, I thought "you don't like Vermont wine."
- Clos Cibbone, Tibouren 2017$26.00
This is a sturdy, real deal rosé. The Tibouren grape from southern France produces rosé that should be consumed year round, with food. It's copper colored and drinks with the tannin of a light bodied red.
- La Bastide Blanche, Bandol Rosé 2017$28.00
ICONIC Bandol rosé. This blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault is all of the strawberry and rosé you dream about from a Provence rosé. If you think rose is summer trick pony you have never had a Bandol wine.
- Le Coeur de la Reine, Gamay 2019$18.00
