Champagne J. Lassalle has been a family owned shop since 1942, but in 1982 the operation became full-on female. Olga Lassalle, her daughter, Chantal and her granddaughter, Angéline have created an energy of “une femme, un esprit, un style” (one woman, one spirit, one style) and it is apparent in their collection of all premier cru Champagnes. They farm 16 hectares of vin in Montagne de Reims, employ the winery's original basket press and create wines of striking complexity and elegance. The Cachet d'Or is fleshy and broad with fresh red fruit and ripe pear on the palate. A slight bitterness in the finish and bright acidity balance her out.
