Nightfall (Decaf) is our year-round decaffeinated offering featuring a mellow, nutty and deeply satisfying cup. The components of this decaf change a few times a year as new coffees roll in and older coffees go out of stock for the season. Currently, it is comprised of a really great decaffeinated coffee from Huila, Colombia.

Luz Helena Salazar owns the La Leona farm and has been producing coffee for the last 20 years. This offering is comprised of 100% pink bourbon variety. Look for a sweet and delicate cup with flavors of cranberry, orange, molasses, and fresh florals with a lingering sweetness, a crisp acidity and a silky body. This offering is from a small lot and we expect to sell out of this quickly.

This coffee comes from Gakenke Washing Station in the highlands of Kayanza. It was founded in 1991, and has since established a reputation for quality. The lot is gathered from 2667 different producers, and each farm is about ¼ acre in size. The coffee is grown alongside bananas, beans, yams, taro & cassava, both for sale and for household use. This lot is comprised of the bourbon variety, known for its sweetness & clarity in the cup. This, along with meticulous sorting and processing, leads to phenomenal results in the cup! This coffee is absolutely delicious and offers notes of green apple, burnt sugar, raisin and plum with a tart acidity and silky body.

This honey-processed offering comes to us from the Dukundekawa Cooperative - a standout in specialty coffee in Rwanda. This coffee is syrupy and balanced with a deep marmalade-like sweetness, featuring flavors of orange, stonefruit, black tea and cacao with a soft, tropical acidity.

This is a phenomenal, single-variety offering from producer Roberto Herrera. Expect a crisp, juicy and floral cup with limeade, mango and wild honey flavors with a deep, lingering sweetness. Certified Organic.

This coffee comes from third-generation coffee producer Faiber Bolaños. This single-variety offering is soft and clean with a crisp, tangerine acidity. It offers brown sugar, green grape, apricot and mango flavors with a floral aroma and a round body.

The Chemex filter is a thick, folded paper filter that's designed for the Chemex Coffeemaker. This thicker paper helps to hold back oils and to create an even, steady flow for consistent and delicious results.

The Chemex Coffeemaker is a classic! It was designed by a chemist in 1941 and inspired by how liquids are filtered in a science lab. We love it for its design, ease of brewing and that it is both brewer and server in one. It's worth noting that it is the only piece of coffee equipment on display at the Museum of Modern Art. Because of the way the Chemex filter rests on top of the brewer, slow even draining takes place. This is because, as coffee drips into the lower chamber, air is displaced by pushing up the spout and past the filter. This is the 6-cup size, and is designed to brew up to 30 ounces of coffee.
