Restaurant info
Baleia (whale in portuguese) is located at the intersection of Southie and the South End. The name Baleia, meaning whale, is a nod to the large, magical creatures that swim along the mainland coast of Portugal, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the Azores. Influenced by Chef/Owner, Andrew Herbert’s multiple transformative trips to Portugal and Massachusetts’ rich history of Portuguese immigration. The menu will pay homage to classic Portuguese and North African dishes, paired with an all Portuguese wine list and a cocktail program inspired by Portugal's trading posts.
