Crafted exclusively from the indigenous Carricante grape, this wine embodies the unique terroir of Mount Etna's northern slopes. Pale straw-yellow hue with subtle greenish reflections. The wine is linear and refreshing, offering flavors of unripe peach, citrus, and a pronounced mineral character. The vibrant acidity enhances its crispness."

Importer notes: "All organic. The grape is Magliocco. The grapes are harvested as soon as they are ripe, after a short maceration on the skins it is vinified with soft pressing. Undergoes a slight aging in steel before going into the bottle. Good density. Dark red fruit with notes of cherry and raspberry compote. Dry and fresh with excellent depth.”

Importer notes: "A fine, perfumed style of Cannonau (Grenache) from northwest Sardinia. An intriguing wine, with loads of savoury character. Redcurrant and cranberry aromas combine with brown spice and warm, earthy notes. Bright and fleshy on the palate, with juicy red berry and forest fruits balanced by gentle tannins, fresh acidity and a bitter cherry twist."

Importer notes: "A deep translucent ruby in the glass, the nose is intensely aromatic with thyme, oregano and wild herbs along with a subtle lift of mint. Cherry and red plum fruit mingle with an earthy vegetal sweetness reminiscent of ripe tomato plants after a summer rain. More tart cherry and fresh tomato on the palate are followed by some peppery spice and lingering acidity. The tannins are rustic and firm but not out of place, softening a bit after a few hours open. This certainly has the structure to age several years or longer but it's so good now that it might be hard to wait."

It spent two years in cask and a third year in a larger cask. Rich, sumptuous and beautifully layered, the 2020 is all class, all refinement. Silky tannins, expressive red-toned Sangiovese fruit and lifted, soaring aromatics give the 2020 tons of finesse. This sensual Gran Selezione is lights out."

There’s simply so much to like about this; it’s vibrant and harmonious, showing the radiance of the year along with enough structure to balance."

The bouquet delivers a lot of intensity. Indeed, the wine is rather streamlined in terms of texture, with medium length that is pushed along nicely thanks to the natural freshness of the Sangiovese grape. That acidity is key in a wine such as this; it carries a little extra concentration and oak spice.

The oak aromas take on more prominence given this wine's baritone personality. It offers a solidly constructed finish with hints of roasted coconut or macadamia nut over a spicy mid-weight finish. It unfolds to nice balance."

Importer notes: "100% Pelaverga Piccolo. Castello di Verduno uses this rare grape that is still cultivated in Piedmont. Sourced from vineyards in the Massara and Olmo crus, in the commune of Verduno. Good intensity, spicy overtones and delicate, and a solid lingering finish."

Aged for two years in large oak barrel, the Vietti 2022 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is not too far off from tasting and smelling like a full-fledged Barbaresco, or even a Barolo for that matter, since it does technically have the DNA of both. The fruit is delivered with fresh, vertical intensity, and the wine's texture is firm and tensile. I like this vintage more than I thought I would."

Importer notes: "The Arneis grape makes a most enjoyable dry white wine. It's redolent of pears, chamomile, and white flowers. It's always enjoyable with light meats, but incredibly well-suited for fish as well. Filippo Gallino winery was the first winery in Piedmont to make a 100% varietal Arneis wine in 1972. From vines grown on tufo soils. Unoaked. Fresh. Mineral."

Importer notes: "Since the fourth century A.C. the Celts (Lepontini) were growing the vineyards in the Gattinara area, they were the first to use oak barrels for storing and aging wine. To them Anzivino dedicates this precious expression of the viticulture of the High Piedmont area. This Nebbiolo remains in large oak barrels for 18 months. It has a ruby red color with garnet reflexes, the bouquet is ample and mellow, pleasantly bitter and velvety on the palate."

Producer notes: "100% Chardonnay, aged over 30 months on the lees. Our Franciacorta Brut expresses in an exemplary but personal way the vocation that Franciacorta land has in enhancing both the Chardonnay variety grape and the “Traditional method’ to produce sparkling wine. The grapes are harvested by hand and are vinified with soft pressing and fermented at a controlled temperature of 15 °- 16 ° degrees. Then follows the period of aging in steel with ‘bâtonnage’ interventions until the secondary fermentation scheduled for the end of winter. The aging period on the lees in the bottle lasts at least 24 months and it is followed by disgorgement."

Importer notes: "Arpepe is one of the best traditional wineries from the mountain region of Valtellina (near the Swiss border) in Lombardia. The Nebbiolo grape attains the a certain finesse and precision with their care. Full of sweet red berries and a firm tannic grip on the end. Delicious and refreshing, while maintaining excellent complexity. Top tier producer from this region."

Importer notes: "Sorgente Prosecco comes from a six hectare parcel of Glera vines located in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, and a solid golf shot away from the Veneto border to the west, the vineyards sit only a few hundred meters from the natural spring called Sorgente. All the grapes are destemmed and the berries go through a soft pressing. A fresh and clean sparkling wine."

Importer notes: "100% estate Glera fruit. Artisanal Prosecco that bursts with freshness of pear and green papaya, white peach and minerals on the nose. Mid-weighted, exuberant, verging on the exotic and yet, toned by a refrain of quinine bitterness in the finish."

Vinous: "The Marachelle is spicy with an inviting blend of ground ginger and dusty dried flowers offsetting crisp yellow apples. This soothes with a massaging wave of mineral-stained bubbles giving way to tropical citrus. It finishes a bit short yet wickedly fresh with a slightly bitter twang that puckers the cheeks. This is a sparkling blend of 60% Durella and 40% Chardonnay that’s fermented in stainless steel and then goes through a secondary fermentation in bottle."

Importer notes: "A medium bodied red wine from the Colli Euganei in the Veneto region of northeast Italy made from a mainly Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (30%) Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) Raboso (5%). Importer notes: "Granato is a dark, rich, and powerful wine with cherry, currant, blueberry, tobacco, and exotic spices all swirling into an ethereal and decadent wine. Oak adds balance and elegance and is perfectly placed, not overbearing, but lifts the wine into the stratosphere. Granato is sourced from the estate’s oldest parcels in Campo Rotaliano, some planted as far back as 1938 as pergola-trained vines. Importer notes: "The red Vernatsch grape is also known as Schiava which hails from the Alto-Adige region of northern Italy. The vines are trained in the old Pergola system at altitudes ranging from 400 to 450 meters in elevation. Vernatsch is an addictive, lightly hued red wine. Vernatsch is grown in Germany but also found in the Trentino-Alto Adige area of Italy. A unique, fresh and medium-to-light bodied red with lively fruit."

Importer notes: "Antonelli's Trebium is an organic white wine made from 100% old vine Trebbiano Spoletino grapes. Once at the winery the grapes are soft pressed via gravity and fermented in large oak barrels, before being left to age on the lees for 6 months. Intense straw yellow in colour Trebium displays intense fruity and floral aromas that lead onto a structured and full palate. Citrus and tropical fruits, alongside almond and hint of spiciness are balanced by a seam of fresh acidity."

Importer notes: "This wine is sourced from the San Valentino vineyard in Montefalco. The vineyard is at 1300 feet altitude. The composition of the Montefalco Rosso is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Montepulciano, all from a 50-year old vineyard. Harvest usually occurs in the final ten days of October. The wine usually macerates for approximately 30 days before being racked and prepared for the malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 3 years in stainless steel and an additional 4 to 12 months in bottle before release. Deep, penetrating red. All natural."

Importer notes: “The Bianco di Ceparano is made from 100% Albana, and classified as Romagna Albana Secco DOCG, the first ever DOCG awarded to an Italian white wine. Light gold in color with green reflections, the Bianco di Ceparano exhibits notes of flowers and acacia with a touch of tropical and citrus fruits. On the palate, the wine is well-structured with a dynamic acidity and lively minerality.”

Importer notes: "La Staffa, a small family-owned winery, lies in the heart of the Marche’s Castelli di Jesi region. Their Verdicchio has aromas of lemon, white peach and a hint of lime, while the palate reveals more lemon and peach with a waxy, slightly honeyed note. This is bright and elegant with a lovely mineral spine, refreshing acidity and a saline finish."

Importer notes: "Made with the Verdicchio grape, this time with a small addition of Trebbiano grapes. The name ‘Mai Sentito’, or ‘Never before heard of’ refers to this odd combination of grapes. This is a spumante wine, fermented with its own yeast in the ancient way, and is distinguished by a great fruity crispness, underpinned by the characteristic flavor of the winery’s wines.
