Ted's Fried Clams was founded in 1950. It's been a legendary Maine seafood destination for over 75 years. Ted's was owned & operated by 3 generations of the Mavrakos family. They built a loyal following that had guests coming back season after season for their signature fried clams, hearty seafood dishes, and friendly guest service. Ted's Fried Clams reopened in 2026 under new ownership. We remain committed to delivering the same quality food and superior service that made Ted's a regional institution through the decades.
