GOLD - GABF2015 Brett Beer Category Wild Bear was (512)’s first excursion into the world of so-called wild fermentation and its origins lie in our Fall seasonal, BRUIN. After primary fermentation, we added Brettanomyces yeast and Pediococcus bacteria cultures, and aged the blend in new oak barrels for over 10 months. This combination of wild “bugs” and barrel aging gives (512) Wild Bear a complex and enticing aroma of tart cherries, oak, and a touch of barnyard “funkiness”, a crisp, tart flavor that will intensify with age, and an effervescent, oaky finish that leaves the palate clean. More recent versions are aged in one of our 45HL Foeders for 24 months.

Dark beer existed in Bavaria long before light beer. This was the first type of beer to be brewed at Hofbräuhaus when it was founded. Today, when beer-lovers all over the world talk about dark beer, they usually mean a Munich style beer. Today, Hofbräu Dunkel - the archetypal Bavarian beer - is still as popular as ever. With its alcoholic content of around 5.5% volume and its spicy taste, it’s a refreshing beer that suits all kinds of occasions. A beer in the traditional Munich style!

Our core IPA has finally be released! We brew Tanuki with a split grist of Pilsner/Maris Otter malt, and cold-whirlpool Azacca/Sultana/Comet hops to give this beer 35 IBU of punchy citrus and tropical fruit flavors. We ferment with a Kveik yeast for added pineapple pop before dry hopping near the saturation point of 2.2 lbs/bbl of the 3 hops above. We then filter it, so it's a clear, easy drinking citrus packed IPA. Enjoy!

HBC638, Simcoe

Everything’s peachy keen with All Day Hazy Peach. The addition of Alora hops give this beer a bright, fruity peach character and aroma. Mildly sweet, wildly juicy, and endlessly drinkable, All Day Hazy Peach brings the seriously juicy vibes.

Art Car IPA is an American IPA featuring a blend of both new and old hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. The nose is a blend of apricot and tropical fruit and mango. The taste starts with a big bitter blood orange that morphs into mangos and sweet tropical fruits. There is a lightly sweet malt body that allows the hops to shine while there being a nice complexity to the flavors.

Same name, different expression. Different paths, same conviction. We teamed up with Saint Arnold for a collaboration unlike any other. We each brewed our own version of a saturated IPA, staying true to our own techniques but testing our faith. Parish brewed it clear. Saint Arnold brewed it hazy. Out of our lanes, still in our element. Parish's Saints & Sinners is an 8% ABV West Coast Double IPA that doesn't repent. Clean, crisp, and unapologetically hoppy. All backbone and bite. No haze, no sweetness. Just pure, resinous hop character and a dry, snappy finish that leaves no room for forgiveness. Who's the saint? Who's the sinner? You decide.

A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. Saint Arnold Summer Pils has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt, and a copious quantity of "noble" hops imported from the Czech Republic. Saint Arnold Summer Pils is best consumed at 36° Fahrenheit.

Salt and Lime Lager

This beer is so corny you'll think it was a dad joke. Flaked maize is used alongside malted barley to give a slight corny sweetness in this crushable beer.

A true German-style Kölsch. Originally brewed in Cologne, this beer is crisp and refreshing, yet has a sweet malty body that is balanced by a complex, citrus hop character. Multiple additions of German Hallertauer hops are used to achieve this delicate flavor. We use a special Kölsch yeast, an ale yeast that ferments at lager temperatures, to yield the slightly fruity, clean flavor of this beer. Fancy Lawnmower Beer is a world class brew yet light enough to be enjoyed by Texans after strenuous activities, like mowing the lawn. Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower Beer is best consumed at 35-45° Fahrenheit.

A “double” version of our signature flagship beer, Pecan Porter, this beer was aged for three months in freshly emptied Willett Bourbon barrels, where it developed strong notes of whiskey and hints of oak to compliment delicious flavors of pecan, vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. The COFFEE version of WBADPP was created using organic Papua New Guinea coffee beans roasted by Trianon Coffee, located here in Austin, and made into a cold brew at the brewery. The cold brew was added directly to the finished beer right before packaging.

pale blond, the fine and regular sparkling ensures a fine and stable head. Feels like the sound shot of alcohol is igniting the mouth. In reality the tongue and palate are warmed. Slightly malty, a nice touch of alcohol, spicy. The taste is characterized by its roundness. The aftertaste is strong, long-lasting and dry bitter.

The Holy Grail for hopheads! Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copius amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy.

Gluten Free Blonde

The gnomes of Fairyland are particularly fond of this golden beer. LA CHOUFFE, with its slight hoppy taste, combining notes of fresh coriander and fruity tones, is the drink which gives them their zest for life. At least, that's what these imps say when they are thirsty. Their secret used to be jealously guarded from one generation to the next until the day they shared the recipe with humans to seal their friendship. Of all the legends from the wonderful region of the Belgian Ardennes, the tale of LA CHOUFFE is the one which most merits re-telling.

This is an aged Belgian red ale, which is ‘ripened quietly in oak barrels for two years’, according to the label. It has an extremely pungent aroma of rich grapey fruit, with acidic notes, very much like a slightly sour red wine or possibly a gueuze. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, extremely acidic and fruity, with grapes and even cherries discernible, and very lively. Despite the sweetness it is not at all cloying, even thin, with little or no trace of malt. Finish is sharp and fruity.

Imperial Coffee Porter aged in Bourbon Barrels

The 2021 Cognac Barrel French Press comes in at 9.3% ABV and has aged in the barrels for a year with Java Pura Coffee Roasters El Eden coffee added just before bottling.

A PERFECT BALANCE OF SUGAR, ACIDITY, BITTERNESS, SPICES AND ALCOHOL. It took 18 months of research before La Fin du Monde saw the light of day in February 1994. Representative of a style that was originally developed by medieval monks who served beer on special occasions, it is a premium beer with a surprising finesse. Like Trappist triple ales, La Fin du Monde is brewed and refermented in the bottle—a first in the American market at the time of launch. To date, it is the most awarded Canadian beer and has been honoured at several top international competitions. True to tradition, Unibroue brewed this beer in honour of the French explorers who, when they discovered North America, believed they had reached "the end of the world”.

Our Hefeweizen is authentically brewed using a traditional yeast strain that naturally creates the signature flavors of vanilla, clove, and banana. Modeled after the classic wheat beers of Bavaria, Hefe is cloudy and straw-colored with a meringue-like head that lingers to the bottom of the glass. Brewed with an ample volume of wheat malt and few hops. A traditional interpretation of a classic style, this idiosyncratic Bavarian beer is perfectly at home here in Texas. Our Hefeweizen is perhaps our most popular and most sought after beer, despite only being distributed in Texas. It’s been ranked the 2nd best German Hefeweizen in the world by users on Beer Advocate, Paste Magazine lists us #1 for best wheat/hefeweizens and their Favorite Beers of the 2010s. We also recently took home a 3rd place medal at GABF in Denver in 2019.

The Pilz is a classic Bohemian-style golden lager, decoction-mashed with a single heirloom variety Moravian malt. Premium Saaz hops combine to produce a clean, crisp pilsner with complex malt flavor and spicy hop bitterness and aroma.

Smash IPA

True Love is our second sour beer that is now available year-round. Similar to the Salty Lady, it is kettle soured and very refreshing. Raspberries are added in the fermenter which provide a purple hue and slight sweetness. Give it a try. You'll fall in love with True Love, one can at a time.
