The NV Un jour de 1911... is another 100% Bouzy Pinot Noir with an ancient label design. The shining golden-colored cuvée combines ripeness, complexity and finesse with intensity and elegance on both the nose and palate. It's a powerful and rich yet very fine and balanced Champagne with great freshness and complex length. It is juicy and intense but also highly delicate, and its mineral tension and persistent finish make it a first-class wine for elaborate dishes. A great Champagne, with a label that doesn't give any more detailed information regarding vintages or disgorgement date, but we know it's always a 50/50 blend of three vintages (including one great millésime at least 10 years old) and reserve wines from a solera system. I tasted the wine as a Brut with Clouet's German importer in Bremen. You shouldn't drink it too early, as it would be a waste of its talents.

This white wine is absolutely lovely and fresh, the ‘frizzante’ element of the wine expresses itself as a light spritz in the glass, and it’s just absolutely perfect for an end of the day “pick-me-up” or a weekend brunch.

An aromatic orange wine made from Rebula, Malvasia and Sauvignonasse. The Rebula sees 10 months skins contact in large oak foudres. The Malvasia and Sauvignonasse see one month skin contact and 8 months on lees in stainless steel. Goriška Brda is the enchanting westernmost region of Slovenia, nestled halfway between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The steeply terraced vineyards are treacherous to work, but the wines are stunning, mineral-driven and excellent with food. This is a beautiful, fresher-style of skin-macerated white wine (orange wine). Organic.

Unfiltered, Carbonically Fermented Orange Over the past decade, we’ve fallen deeply in love with whole-grape, low-extraction carbonic fermentation as a way of delivering delicious, fresh expressions of our intense Santa Barbara County red grapes.

Herbaceous hints of star anise and juniper arrive on the nose, with fruity aromas of candied fruit, apricots and honey. A particularly intense, savory and fresh wine.

2023 Skin Contact Pinot Gris: Comment from winemaker Maxx: “Our first Orange Wine! We had a lot of fun making this in 2023. It features 100% Pinot Gris fermented two ways. Half of the fruit was carbonically fermented while the other half was whole cluster, open top fermented. Each ferment was left on the skins for 42 days! Eventually, they were pressed together to form a wildly fresh and complex amber wine.”

The 2023 Bonny Doon Vin Gris de Cigare opens with typical rose notes: wild strawberry, peach, guava, and rhubarb and a very discreet scent of white pepper. The wine has a wonderful creaminess and length on the palate in virtue due to the practice of leaving the wine post-fermentation on its lees to great effect.

La Rosa is a fresh and aromatic rosé at its most elegant expression. A distinct Mediterranean character with wild fruit/citrus notes and subtle, elegant floral tones bringing clean definition. Captivating and fresh on the palate with delicate yet vervy energy.

The Pannonian climate with the cool winds of the River Danube brings a very ripe, but also fresh cherry-fruit to the Zweigelt grapes resulting in wines with aromatic fruit, smooth tannins and no shortage of elegance.

Notes of ruby red grapefruit, cherry blossom and red Gravenstein apple lead the tastebuds on an irresistible journey. Be warned, it is almost too easy to enjoy.

Fermented at cool temperatures and bottled early to preserve its youthfulness, this rosé bursts with aromas of violets, forest flowers, and delicate rose petals. On the palate, it delights with intense red fruit flavors, plum, and spice, balanced by a creamy texture and tangy acidity.

On the nose, there is an array of fresh flowers from roses to jasmine to daphne. Beneath that is a core of potpourri, hibiscus tea, and red raspberry. The wine drinks halfway between a rosé and a light red and would delicious with antipasto plates on a warm day or alongside a holiday feast.

Carbonically Fermented Rosé of Grenache While the main Love You Bunches wine continues to be a 100% carbonic fermentation of Sangiovese.

Reminiscent of being inside a watermelon jolly rancher. A dark rose or a light red, depending on your fancy. full-bodied blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre from a pair of vineyards near the Santa Cruz mountains. Watermelon, peach, sour candy, raspberry.

Soft and bright pink with salmon and onion skin hints. Intense aroma of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, currants), some citrus sign (orange peel) and fine minerality. Very fresh and balanced on the palate, very good acidity, greasy and with dimension. Alive ending with great balance of flavours, fruitiness and warmth.

Delicate and light, this delicious alpine-styled white wine has mouth-watering acidity and delicate stone fruit flavors. Bright, fresh and clean, with supple yellow and white tree fruits, pronounced floral aromatics, and exotic spices. Alcohol: 12.5% (No sulpur added)

2023 Rosé: Comment from winemaker Maxx: “This rosé is a blend of direct pressed Cabernet Franc & Pinot Noir. It spent 8 months in tank on lees, allowing the development of a rich texture. With bright acidity and plenty of fruit, this rosé is light, refreshing, and truly Michigan summer in a bottle! We recommend drinking this wine while it is young and fresh.”

The flinty soils of the Loire Valley appellation of Valencay are known for giving their wines a finesse, perhaps even a chalkiness. This cuvée is known as “Les Griottes” or ‘the cherries’ as its gentle flavor and character has notes of red fruits (cherry blackcurrant), with a hint of spices in the finish.

Tasting Notes: Very light ruby color, earthy and vegetable nose with fresh fruit. Very light and harmonious.

Varietals: 65% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, 2% Petite Sirah AVA: Central Coast, CA Winemaker Notes: "In cool years the Grenache is enormously pretty and fragrant. This was the first year of production for the Cinsault and it was thinned multiple times both for enhanced concentration and evenness of ripening. The cooler climate gives the Cinsault a wonderful articulation of flavor, but what is most noteworthy is the fact that we were able to co-ferment the Cinsault with Syrah. Something magical happens with Cinsault and Syrah marry; the healthy tannin titer from the Syrah seems to give more structure to the Cinsault and helps to stabilize color. The spicy licorice component from the Syrah is a perfect foil to the Griotte cherry derived from the Cinsault."

Le Naturel Red is crafted with Garnacha Tinta, a Navarra native varietal that has long been scorned, but which accounts for the majority of the vineyards at Aroa Bodegas. Garnacha is a tough grape to grow, although the location of Le Naturel has an advantage due to the strong north wind and the vines being orientated north-south, which promotes cluster health. This wine embodies that vitality; it is affable, light, and easy to drink, while yet being a fruit explosion brimming with genuineness. Low intervention. Whole Cluster fermentation with a short maceration (4-5 days). No fining, filtering or sulfur.

Tasting Notes: olallieberry, bing cherry, black plum 100% destemmed. Fermented and aged separately and blended right before bottling. Aged in neutral oak for 3.5-4 months (depending on the cuvée). Native fermentation, no fining, no filtration, no other modifications or additions

The grapes for Pirita undergo a pre-fermentation maceration of between 4-5 days in a blend of temperature controlled stainless steel and concrete tanks, followed by a fermentation of four weeks with daily pumping over. Pirita then spends 11-18 months in 300 liter French oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation before being bottled without filtration or stabilization, but some clarification.

A gentle, south facing slope, these are some of the first vines planted by Domaine Berrien's original owner, Wally Mauer. Destemmed whole berries. Cold Soak for 9 days. Native fermentation in egg. Extended maceration for 10 days. No SO2 during fermentation. Aged for 12 months in a mix of 225L and 228L neutral French oak barrique. Unfined. Unfiltered. Natural Sediment may occur. 20ppm SO2 at bottling.

This wine originates from our Cave Spring Vineyard, nestled on a hillside of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking Lake Ontario, known as the Beamsville Bench. Along these gentle slopes, limestone-clay soil, elevation and moderating onshore breezes yield a Cabernet Franc of great depth and complexity that will reward cellaring. Decanting is suggested.

2023 Carbonic Pinot Noir: Comment from winemaker Maxx: “This wine is a personal favorite here at Stranger. It is 100% Pinot Noir from our estate. Carbonic fermentation gives it bright and juicy, almost candy-like aromas. It’s structured like a red wine but bright and crisp like a white. We think it’s the best of both worlds! A truly fun wine for food pairings. We recommend drinking young and serving slightly chilled.”

The wine offers notes of herbs and game with a brambly spicy mix of crushed fresh strawberries, thyme, lavender (from the Syrah), roasted meats, cola, nutmeg, leather and floral hints.

This is a traditionally-made Rioja with a freshness that most wines of the region don't have. Whole cluster fermented and raised in concrete tanks, the wine is juicy and floral with aromas of wild violets, ripe cherry, crushed red and purple berries, soft earth, and wild green herbs. Drink this wine with a slight chill and pair it with everything from pizza to paellas!

This stony, deeply mineral Syrah balances crisp cassis and black-cherry flavors against a deeply earthen core. It's opulent in texture but stately, uplifted by tangs of salt, iron and granite. The finish is framed by soft, easing tannins making it approachable young but it should drink at peak through 2026.

Herdade do Rocim Fresh from Amphora White is the result f a partnership between Herdade do Rocim and Niepoort, making an approach to the Nat’Cool concept and to its philosophy of relaxed and easy to drink wines. Our interpretation uses the ancestral method of making the wine in talha, with the amphoras contributing to a lighter, fresh and very harmonious wine.

A dry white blend of Chardonnay, Vermentino, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Meunier, the grapes were fermented in wood tank and neutral French oak barrels. Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, white flowers and beeswax pair with medium body.

A mouth-watering, lip-smacking bottling of Cinsault and Grenache, from a parcel chosen for its ability to ripen at a low degree of alcohol. There’s lot of finesse here, coupled with an almost athletic length: “cerise en nez et cerise en bouche [cherry on the nose, cherry on the palate]... ça pinote [acts like a Pinot].” Made exclusively for Super Glou and inspired by our house cat Lamont, who, if a person, would lounge around all day slurping this.

Low tanin, medium body, earthy with medium fruit, creamy texture. This explosive Chardonnay is the latest wine to completely upend the conventional wisdom on the wines of the Mâcon. With its dramatic limestone escarpments and its growing list of organic growers, one could argue that the Mâconnais is the most dynamic region in Burgundy right now.

Gruner Veltliner is the primary white grape of Austria, and in the cool climate of Carnuntum it retains a lovely green note, like ripe kiwi and honeydew, with touches of yeastiness and salt. Fresh 2019 release, incredibly invigorating. Native yeast, no filtering or fining.

Along with beeswax, the Bonny Doon Beeswax Vineyard Picpoul exudes a discreet scent of white flowers and pineapple. But while the scent is subtle, the wine's bracing acidity and its unique savoriness strikes the palate. A discernible quality of brininess makes this wine an excellent match for all manners of crustacean and molluscan variety.

Unfined. pH: 3.19 Complex and serious, a Pinot Gris meant for the cellar but enjoyable now, as well. Tension driven acidity and well-defined fruit drive home this terroir driven wine.

The Brand brother's Riesling Trocken is from the estate's young vines grown on soils of limestone, loess and loam around the village of Bockenheimer. An unbelievable value that delivers pure, electric dry Riesling with a richness and zing that is captivating. It's a great that this is a liter bottle!

The structure of the wine is both ripe and sturdy. There are tropical notes (ripe nectarine) mixed with fennel seed. The Riesling has excellent balance and is a stunning example of time and place.

A sweet and tangy blood-orange aroma fills the air as wisps of petrol and coconut water stake their claim on the fringes. The wine's elevated acidity and lean, crisp mouthfeel are complemented by flavors of barely ripe pineapple and green tea sweetened with honey.

Famed for its chalky mineral rich soils, Sancerre produces one of the most highly regarded expressions of Sauvignon Blanc. I crisp notes of Grapefruit peel and gooseberry with a hint of gunsmoke on the finish.
