Red Wine
- 2017 Goyo Garcia "Vinas de Arcilla"$68.00
This cuvee is 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). It comes from a very old vineyard, where clay predominates, and the elevation is 800 meters. Produced with a similar vinification and elevage as his other Ribera del Duero parcel red wines, Arcilla is the fullest and most lush of his wines.
- 2018 Marto Al Dente$44.00Out of stock
This is a crunchy co-ferment from Martin Wörner of Marto who works in the village of Flonheim in Germany's famous Rheinheissen winemaking region. Tasting Notes: A light red whose easy-drinking character belies just how perfectly pitched this blend is -- the breadth of a Pinot Blanc's texture with the pristine acidity of Pinot Gris blended into Riesling, and the berried and spiced perfection of German Pinot Noir. An absolute banger. Vinification: A blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Pinot Blanc grapes that are hand-harvested early from vines grown on sandstone soils. The spontaneously fermenting juice macerates for two weeks before full fermentation and aging in big old oak barrels for 10 months atop the lees. There is no racking. Unfined, unfiltered with no additional SO2. 10.5%ABV
- 2019 Absentee Balou 1.5L MAGNUM$93.00
Mystery blend of grapes from old head-pruned, dry-farmed vines. Fermented and aged in estate-coopered barrels. A touch of sulphur added.
- 2019 Absentee Flaws 1.5L MAGNUM$113.00Out of stock
Varietals: Abouriou Farming: Organic/Biodynamic, Unfined/Unfiltered, No added SO2 Fruity, lively, and rustic. Aromas of red fruit such as strawberries and vanilla. On the palate, it is fruit-forward with red berries, cherries, and a hint of spice. Long-lasting tannins. Manually harvested. Whole clusters in raw oak barrel, barrel rolled for ten days. Pressed after ten days and back in raw oak barrel for a year.
- 2019 Absentee Western Art 1.5L MAGNUM$163.00
Point Reyes, California. Aborieu and Petit Syrah. Fermented in whole clusters with wild yeasts in hand-coopered raw oak casks
- 2019 Casa Castillo Jumilla$27.00
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate "The entry-level red, the old Monastrell, has been reverted to the varietal name, even if in 2019 it has some 15% Garnacha because it was a very good year for the variety (because it was harvested before the rain). As with the other wines, I had the chance to compare the 2019 Monastrell with the 2020. This 2019 fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured in 500-liter barrels and 5,000-liter oak foudres for 10 months. It has an expressive nose of Mediterranean herbs and a combination of ripeness and lightness, a little in the style of 2016, a little more fruit-driven. They had to sort and discard and produced less wine. It's medium-bodied and has very good balance and fine tannins. (LG)" (4/2022)
- 2019 Martha Stoumen Young Vines$45.00Out of stock
99% Zinfandel-related clones, 1% Vermentino · Mendocino County · 115 Cases A juicy nose of wild blackberry, baking spice, and ancho chilli — everything you want Zinfandel to smell like, but it rarely does. The splash of Vermentino gives white peach and citrus zest. A generous body balanced by moderate acidity and characteristically dusty tannins (Venturi Vineyard’s signature).
- 2019 Masseria del Pino Etna Rosso “I nove fratelli”$63.00Out of stock
Could this be Sicily’s answer to a Beaujolais? Like a good Beaujolais, this blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio is vibrant, with perfumy notes of rose petal and spice. Cesare farms his vineyards organically and biodynamically, and handles grapes with a gentle touch, giving us a wine with an ethereal texture and weightless complexity.
- 2020 Enderle & Moll "Liaison" Pinot Noir$45.00Out of stock
This wine is a knock-out: dark, sexy and so layered and complex. This wine is deep; we’re talking Mariana Trench deep. I don’t know how else to describe it. The nose goes from strawberry and raspberry all the way to dark, earthy crushed berry and cassis; this is an example of a wine with just superb density and definition. The glycerin-rich fruit coats the herbal, kitchen spice aromatics that the whole range flaunts, yet here it is better integrated than in almost any bottle other than the Grand Cru “Muschelkalk.” Try and be patient; if drinking young, decant. “Liason” is something like the “1er Cru” bottling for Enderle & Moll. It is sourced from 40-50-year-old vines planted both in limestone and sandstone; a “liaison” of soil types if you will. It is always one of the most compelling Pinots out there, an absurd value that easily out-classes wines that are twice the price
- 2020 Goyo Garcia Finca "Los Quemados"$42.00
This single vineyard is planted entirely to Tempranillo at high elevation. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented with wild yeasts in steel tank with 3 months of skin maceration, then raised 12 months in 8-10 year-old French oak barriques. Bottling is without fining, filtration or any addition of SO2.
- 2020 Roterfaden Vineyard Project 002 “Terraces” Red$27.00
Οlympia Samara and Hannes Hoffmann, proprietors of Roterfaden, are dedicated to the production of top-class, biodynamic red wines that rank as some of Germany's best. The "Terraces Red" is a collaboration with the Rosswag Co-Op in working an extremely difficult terraced plot to fashion a complex, haunting blend of Lemberger, Trollinger, Regent and Schwarzriesling (Pinot Meunier) that also happens to be an exceptional value. We look forward to featuring even more Roterfaden reds as the project expands.
- 2020 Vivanterre Gamay$44.00Out of stock
The wine making is simple; whole cluster fermentation, aged in a combination of clay amphorae and used oak barrels with no fining, no filtering and no added SO2 at any point of winemaking. Our Gamay MVB will be bottled in May 2021 according to the biodynamic calendar. The harvesting, wine making, and elevage was done by Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau
- 2021 Cirelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Amphora$40.00
Youthfully concentrated with dark fruit and brisk, intense tannins that give it a rich, tarry, impacted feel. Nose exhibits bramble, mulberry and elderberry with a light hint of tar and mocha. There’s plenty of energy in the fruit to keep it fresh as those tannins mellow. For the cellar.
- 2021 Donkey & Goat Cannonball Red Blend$50.00
This wine represents another exciting creation from the 2021 vintage which brought devastating losses from our El Dorado vineyards due to the Caldor Fire. We only made 42% of our planned tonnage and made no red wine from El Dorado. When Tracey realized the extent of the devastating losses, she broadcast to her winemaker community and the response was immediate and heartwarming. One of the many gifts was an offer to grab 4 tons of Grüner Veltliner from Joel Burt at Las Jaras. Given the sizable reduction in red wine this vintage Tracey decided to use some of the Grüner in a red & white wine blend that together becomes an electric Kool-Aid elixir for the warm days ahead! She likened it to her holding her breath while landing a CANNONBALL in the deep end as a young girl. As she said, sometimes you have to jump first! The base is Testa Carignane (62%) and Rava Grüner Veltliner (21%) and the spice is a mix of Fenaughty Grenache Blanc (6%) & Vermentino (6%) and Cloud Chardonnay (5%).
- 2021 Donkey & Goat Skinny Dip Granache$50.00
This wine represents one of the more innovative and exciting creations from the 2021 vintage which brought devastating losses from our El Dorado vineyards due to the Caldor Fire. We only made 42% of our planned tonnage and made no red wine from El Dorado. Facing down far more Rosé than she wanted from direct pressing Syrah & Grenache Noir, late on the evening of August 26, 2021, Tracey decided to try something new. Having just unloaded the press from the Grenache Gris at Gibson in Mendocino (where all was fine) she decided to not throw the pomace into the organic waste bin. It was pressed after a mere 6-hour skin soak that followed a light foot tread. Instead, she loaded the juicy pomace into our largest clay vat and then filled it up with the freshly pressed Rosé of Girard Vineyard Grenache Noir. Her hope was to make a more interesting wine with texture and structure given the sea of Rosé this vintage. It is our skinny dip as she just dipped the skins into a rose and voila, a new idea
- 2021 Envinate “La Santa de Ursula” Teneife Canary Islands$63.00
La Santa de Úrsula hails from an area called La Carujera, in the DO Tacoronte-Acentejo on the milder, more humid northeastern coast of Tenerife. It’s a blend of 3 parcels of 100+ year old vines grown in sand, clay and basalt soils situated between 350 and 650m above sea level. 48% Negramoll, 50% Listan Negro, and 2% Listán Blanco are vinified partially with whole clusters in cement and aged in small neutral oak barrels. Farming Practices: Organic Food Pairings: Roast White Meats, Braised Things, Gamey Meats, Steak, Red Sauce Defining Features: Island Wine, Dressed to Impress, Black or Blue Fruit, Big Power (includes Whites too!)
- 2021 Gut Oggau Joschauri$86.00
If you haven't had a Blaufrankisch recently, definitely make it this one!
- 2021 Gut Oggau Josephine$76.00
Josephine by Gut Oggau is a spicy, intense lady that comes from a beautiful 30 year old plantation which is planted with the rare Rösler grape on a limestone soil. Rösler is a fungus- and frost-resistant new breed from the 1960s, which can be found almost exclusively in Burgenland. It produces fruity and tannic wines with a powerful colour. The umbels are destemmed and fermented spontaneously in 500 L, 1000 L and 1500 L barrels. After 8 months of maturation in used 500 L barrels, this lady is bottled without batonnage, additional sulphur, unembellished and unfiltered.
- 2021 Haden Fig Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard$42.00
2021’s Pinot Noir’s from all our stellar vineyards are impressive. A beautiful balance was achieved drinking like a cooler vintage with bright acidity, focus and elegance, but with some core ripe fruit mixed in–even with the record heat set in June. The Dusschees planted Freedom Hill in 1981 and have been farming sustainably for nearly as long. Our acre from their 1996 replant of Pommard-clone Pinot Noir offers a great insight for those looking to learn the flavor of single-clone wines when juxtaposed against the neighboring Croft vineyard. This bottle is about ripe morello cherry, and raspberry preserves and extends a firm grip to the finish. Delicious. 75 cases produced.
- 2021 Joiseph Piroska$32.00Out of stock
The Piroska 2021 from Joiseph is a bright summery red cuvée. The name of the wine was inspired by the Hungarian word ‘Piros’ which means light red, Piroska is also often used as a girls nickname in Hungary. The wine is light and fun, it has lovely cherry, raspberry and ripe pomegranate aromas. A perfect wine to drink with friends at a BBQ party! Tipp: serve it chilled!
- 2021 Las Jaras Oregon Pinot Noir$56.00
100% Pinot Noir La Belle Promenade, Chehalem Mountain, Willamette Valley, Oregon Produced + Bottled by Las Jaras Wines, Sebastopol, CA Label Art by Alex Goose
- 2021 Martha Stoumen Another Shore$69.00
Another Shore 2021 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Valdiguie · Dry Farmed • California · 108 cases A lithe body ripples over silky stones and wild blue mountain fruits. Another Shore weaves together two historic, dry-farmed, organic vineyards, separated by 250 miles and time-worn turns. Luxurious but not opulent, this wine makes us sigh like a hiker finding a hidden alpine lake in the California back country.
- 2021 Octagono Tinto$42.00
This Malbec from Guanajuato, Mexico, macerates for 15 days in amphora and is full of black currant, ripe red berries and spice.
- 2021 WAVES RED (CAN)$10.00
- 2022 Cirelli Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC$32.00Out of stock
Trained as an economist, Francesco Cirelli left the profession to pursue a career in winemaking, stemming from an infatuation, or moral obligation, to farm with respect to the earth. He purchased his land, an azienda agricola (farm winery), in 2003 with his wife, Michela, with the intent of organic farming olives, garlic, spelt, barley, and figs, as well as tiny vineyards of trebbiano and montepulciano. Francesco's secret is lower yields for more concentrated fruit, but also lowering the amount of sulfur to avoid masking the terroir. His vineyards are certified organic. This montepulciano from calcium and clay soils in the Abruzzo is a savory, dark-fruited gem, fermented in clay amphorae and aged for 6 months in stainless steel, with soft tannins and silky texture. With an exuberant nose of red and dark fruit and violets, it is medium-bodied and silky in the mouth with a hint of earth. Certified organic, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
- 2022 Cotes du Rhone Villages by Kermit Lynch$34.00
Here it is: the very first edition of an exciting southern Rhône red! Our brand-new Côtes du Rhône Villages is a collaboration with Les Vignerons d’Estézargues, a co-op cellar located just across the river from Avignon. Founded in 1965, Estézargues has championed sustainable and organic viticulture and natural winemaking for decades, making it a rare exception in the world of co-ops. They work closely with their growers, emphasizing organic farming, and manage their cellar with a judicious use of low-intervention techniques: nothing is inoculated, sulfur is kept to a bare minimum, and the wines are bottled without filtration. It is a plump, yet delightfully juicy Rhône red that can be sipped casually with a slight chill as an apéritif or on movie night, but has enough weight to stand up to burgers, pizza, grilled meats, or anything else you might throw its way.
- 2022 Gut Oggau Atanasius$47.00
Zweigelt & Blaufrankisch biodynamically cultivated in gravel/limestone soils of Burgenland. Hand-harvested and destemmed, 3-week maceration and spontaneous fermentation take place in 500 & 1200L neutral barrels. 12 months of élevage in the same vessels is followed by bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.
- 2022 La Senda - Vindemiatrix Tinto$32.00Out of stock
Diego Losada creates soulful Mencia via small, rented parcels of old bush vines. These sites are isolated, farmed organically, and yields are kept to a minimum. In the cellar there are no pumps, no stainless steel (unlined concrete is preferred or neutral oak), and no additions to the wines. Vindemiatrix is the gateway into the fascinating world of La Senda. It is sourced from 7 old-vine parcels in the hills surrounding the village of Hervededo. Most of the parcels are red and white grapes inter-planted, so Diego co-ferments the different native grape varieties, as was done in the past. The soils are mainly clay-calcareous, and the elevation is around 550 meters. Wow, Yum. Enticing nose., lean blood red, anise spice, good grip, tart red fruits, mouthwatering, nuttiness, smoke, spice, figs and plums in the finish. A steal. Great with a slight chill. region: Bierzo, Spain varietal: 80% Mencía 10% Palomino and 10% Doña Blanca style: red
- 2022 La Soeur Cadette Bourgogne Rouge$39.00
Most red Burgundies require your full attention, or at least a moment of reflection: Côte-de-Nuits or Côte-de-Beaune? Whole-cluster or destemmed? Village or premier cru? What I love about Cadette’s Bourgogne rouge is that none of those details matter. All you need to know is that this wine drinks like a Beaujolais with loads of black, sappy fruit and is ounce per ounce more pleasurable and delicious than anything you’d find in a collector’s stash—unless that collector were a savvy bon vivant who supplemented prized selections with ones they actually wanted to drink!
- 2022 Lady of the Sunshine Chene Vineyard Pinot Noir$60.00
This vintage is a 50/50 split of dijon clone 667 and 115 from the steepest hillside blocks that sit on monterey formation rock bed. this site is naturally devigored and makes for concentrated, small clusters that achieve stem lignification early on. the grapes were fermented with 100% whole-cluster with light extraction during fermentation. the wine was pressed in our wooden basket press at dryness and aged for 10 months in neutral french oak barrels before being racked for the first time to bottle, without filtration. Think crushed raspberries, violets & dried rose petals with chalky tannin

White Wine
- 2015 Peter-Veyder Malberg Alter Native Vetliner$110.00
Wine Advocate: 91-93 Points Veyder-Malberg's 2015 Grüner Veltliner Alter-Native remains a fascinating and very promising wine. Fermented like a Pinot Noir (on the skins and in small barrels) the wine is intense, fresh and mineral as well as finely structured like Pinot Noir. Indeed, this Alter-Native Veltliner opens to new thoughts. The difference between white and red is only the color but not necessarily the style. This GV shows a great purity and intensity on the nose, is spicy and herbal and reveals some lovely seed aromas. On the palate this wine is fresh, finesse-full and round, shows grip and a lingering salinity. Unique style. Total production: six 300-liter barrels and a small vat of inox. The total of 2,300 bottles will be filled in spring 2017. I tasted this beauty again as a barrel sample at VieVinum in June 2016.
- 2018 La Cave des Nomades VDF Blanc "Le Point Tangant De Zero Et De L`Infini" (2018 Vintage Only!)$93.00
This wine is made in Banyuls but intentionally declassified to Vin de France. We've all been in being in flux at certain points of our lives: moments where we feel we may lose it all or, on the contrary, have infinite possibilities (sometimes both at the same time). Macabeu, Granache Gris, Granache Blanc, Chardonnay, Vermentino. ONLY 300 bottles produced. The labels are made with sprayed on cork, an old school technique Zé remembers from his youth in Portugal. Designed by artist Katja Stroph.
- 2019 Maria & Sepp Graf Morillon$53.00
The Graf Morillon from Sepp Muster is a delicious white wine based on minerality, in fact you get both stony and salty notes. A bit wild in the nose upon opening the bottle. Some green mango, light peach, caramel and stone fruit. Interesting fact: Morillon is the Styrian (Austrian) name for Chardonnay.
- 2019 Maria & Sepp Graf Sauvignon$53.00Out of stock
The Graf Sauvignon 2018 from Sepp Muster has aromas of caramel and gooseberry, nice salty minerality and some notes of lime and green mango. A touch of creaminess and a fantastic acidity!
- 2019 Peter-Veyder Malberg Viesslinger Bruck$100.00
Producing fewer than 1000 cases per year, Peter's range of Gruner Veltliner and Riesling bottlings astound with their depth and complexity. He eschews the typical viticultural traditions of the Wachau. He is well beyond organic or biodynamic production with his thinking and spends his time cultivating positive working relationships with his insects or conversing with mushrooms and microorganisms that live in the root systems of his vines. These wines are exceptional, whether drinking now, or cellaring and enjoying in the future.
- 2019 Scar of the Sea Bassi Chardonnay$52.00Out of stock
The 2019 Chardonnay Bassi Vineyard emerges from a site in San Luis Obispo that has started to produce some pretty interesting wines. Citrus peel, chalk, white flowers and a touch of reduction are the signatures. I especially admire the focus and persistence here. Readers will find a Chardonnay of real character.
- 2020 Frank Cornelissen "Munjebel" Bianco Siciliane$60.00
Our farming philosophy is based on our acceptance of the fact that man will never be able to understand nature’s full complexity and interactions. We therefore choose to concentrate on observing and learning the movements of Mother Earth in her various energetic and cosmic passages and prefer to follow her indications as to what to do, instead of deciding and imposing ourselves. Consequently this has taken us to possibly avoiding all treatments on the land we cultivate, wether homeopathic, organic or biodynamic. Accepting and following nature is our guideline as the divine ability to understand the ‘Whole’ was obviously not given to man as we are only a part of this complex and not God himself.
- 2020 Joao Pato BLABABLABABLA$32.00Out of stock
This wine is herbal on the nose with bright notes of cranberry and pomegranates, zingy minerality, and the perfect amount of salinity on the palate. Punchy, interesting, and multi-dimensional. The grapes are hand-harvested in early September, de-stemmed and allowed to macerate for five days. Spontaneous fermentation takes place for three weeks in stainless steel and old oak casks (650L) with temperature control. The wine spends six months aging in the same casks. Unfined and unfiltered.
- 2020 Vivanterre MSM Blanc$42.00Out of stock

This 100% Melon de Bourgogne is sourced from the vineyards of Romain Petitou. The vineyard is in its third year of biodynamic conversion. The grapes were picked the first week of September and undergo direct press before immediately being placed in glass globes that are buried underground. Both the natural fermentation and the elevage takes place in these tanks. The grapes are sourced from the domaine of Romain Petitiou and the elevage and bottling also took place at his domaine, under the careful eye and tutelage of Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau. The wine stayed on the lees until it was ready to be bottled in March 2021.

The wine stays in these barrels for an elevage of about 9 months, with no batonnage. The wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero addition of sulfur. Its buttery flavor, silky texture and thin bloomy rind highlight the quality of our milk. Each wheel is individually handcrafted and ripened for two weeks before we hand wrap them for shipping. Green Hill is an eight-time winner at the American Cheese Society Annual Conference. This cheese pairs perfectly with a white or sparkling wine or a crisp apple cider.
- Georgia Gouda$12.00

CIDER
Texas Keeper Cidery
- Texas Keeper Goldrush Cider$17.00Out of stock
The 2019 crop of GoldRush was true to form, with a crisp, citrus quality during pressing. We selected a combination of yeast strains to help round and soften the palate. Aged on lees to increase texture and to bring out toasted notes, this combination brought a hint of the creaminess of lemon meringue pie to the tart grapefruit and Meyer lemon. It’s our citrus sketch, perfect for pairing with a variety of cheeses and desserts.
- Texas Keeper No. 1$15.00Out of stock
Texas Keeper No. 1 is our flagship cider. It’s crafted from 3-12 apple varieties fermented individually and blended to build a well-balanced, dry cider with notes of ripe pear and melon, subtle rosewater and honeysuckle, with a crisp green apple finish. We ferment the apple varieties in small lots (~300 gallons) on heavy lees to increase fermentation nutrition and add complexity. We try our hardest to keep the ferments cool during fermentation with temperatures peaking at 56F. This cool, long fermentation helps preserve delicate fruit esters. No oak is generally used – we wanted to present the delicacy of the fruit. The ferments for No.1 are racked off heavy lees following fermentation and aged for at least six months on light lees with occasional batonnage. We allow the lots to go through spontaneous malolactic fermentation, which helps soften and broaden the palate of the final blend. The cider is unfiltered in order to keep as much of the complexity intact. Light carbonation is best
