One of the only few Woman Owned Tequila companies in Mexico. *Reposado tequila produced in Arandas, Jalisco, by Gran Dinastía (NOM 1610) *First net zero carbon impact distillery in Mexico; practicing sustainable agriculture & water renewal *Mature, estate-grown Blue Weber agave aged 5–6 years is harvested to make this lightly aged tequila. After cooking in a brick oven, the piñas are milled and fermented for 80–90 hours while temperature and nutrient levels are carefully supervised. After double distillation and proofing with water from the distillery’s own wells, the spirit spends 2–3 months resting in American oak casks. Finally, the tequila is double filtered resulting in a soft balance of banana, oak, dried fruit, faint cinnamon and green herbs.

An homage to the popular history of Oaxacan clay-pot mezcal aged in brandy barrels, Don Amado Reposado uses exhausted brandy barrels from Pedro Domecq to create a nostalgic flavor of earthen-smoked maguey with the soft caramel and butterscotch notes of American white oak. Familiar Mexican flavors of roasted corn slathered in butter, hints of vanilla and cinnamon, tropical fruit and dried chilies are balanced with a moderate amount of smoke leading into barrel notes of a satisfying, slightly spicy vanilla-driven extended finish. Maestra mezcalera Angelica Garcia Vazquez distills her spirits at the same palenque as her mother-in-law, Berta Vazquez. She roasts her agaves in an underground earthen oven with mesquite and oak, mills them with a tahona, ferments them in cypress wood vats, and distills them twice in small copper pot stills.

Lago 49.3% ABV Wild, harvested between 14-15 years 72 bottle batch The agaves are cooked in 12-14 foot conical earthen pits for 2-4 days with Eucalyptus and Guahulchile wood (water is added 1 hour into the process to smooth the smokey flavor and complement the velvet like texture). The cooked agaves are then laid out and dry fermented for 10-14 days, until mold begins to develop, after which time they are broken down by machetes, rehydrated and then crushed by hand using wooden mallets or “mazos”. After they are crushed they undergo a second two-part fermentation in open air Sabino oak barrels; first the crushed agaves are fermented as is for 4-5 days, then water is added and they are fermented for an additional 10 days. The juice is then distilled twice in traditional Filipino clay pots and proofed to taste using heads & tails. This particular batch has seen a 3 year rest period. The end result is an unforgettable, extraordinarily smooth mezcal with soft mineral flavors.
